Countdown to the 2026 Grizzly Mtn Ride

It’s a little more than 5 weeks until ride day and things are hopping as the day gets closer!

Here are some key points:

~ The trails are looking amazing for this time of year! One thing this warm winter has brought is early grass and dry trails. No cows yet!

~Grizzly Mtn Ride online entries are open! Register soon! Entry fees will increase as of 4/7/2026. Online entries close on 4/16/2026. You’ll find a fillable PDF to fill out and print to bring along to the ride after that. Entries will be accepted at the ride.

~ Camilla, the PNER Blood Machine will be at the 2026 Grizzly Mtn Ride! Please contact ride management if you’re interested in having bloodwork done on your horse at the ride.

~ Jennifer and Carol are in the process of finalizing the loops they’ll be using for the 2026 ride. As soon as they’re done, tracks will be provided on the PNER Ride with GPS page. Be aware that changes may happen. Stay tuned to the website for latest information.

~ Can’t ride, but would like to volunteer? GREAT! Please let our volunteer coordinator, Becky, know you’re coming by filling out this Volunteer Jotform!

~ April weather in Central Oregon can be quite varied. Bring everything from a cooler, to a light blanket, to a heavier blanket for your horse. Shaving may be recommended. We’ll keep an eye on things, and advise as the ride gets closer, but again, it’s been a warmer than average winter. Bring sunblock, as well as gloves!

~ Once again, Jala and Andrea will be on hand to take ride photos. We’re always happy to have them!
